How They Are Made
Your custom tag or ornament (plaque) is created using a dye sublimation process. This produces photographic quality image on the final product. The plaques are made of either high quality plastic or aluminum.
Dye Sublimation
Dye sublimation is printed on blank white (only white) substrates . The image is “dyed” into the polymer coating resulting in a transfer that is photographic quality and will last for years to come,

How Its Made
We take your image which is already sized and positioned using the online design app and print it using dye sublimation ink on to special heat transfer paper. The image is heat transferred onto onto the custom tag or ornament. You can use both sides for most products. The online design app will guide you if only 1 side is allowed for the product you have chosen.
What should image resolution be?
You should test print the image you intend to upload on regular paper at about the same size it will be on your custom product. If it doesn’t look good, it wont look good on your custom product The dog tags are small, so smaller images ie;240px may look good when a high print resolution is used is;300dpi or 600dpi.
Its still better to use a image with a high pixel width ie;1280px by 960px.
How many images can I upload?
You can upload 2 images, 1 for the front and 1 for the back. If you have more than 2 images, say 2 for the front and 1 for the back, combine the 2 for the front before them uploading to your design. You can always add text on top of your uploaded design,
How big will the design be?
The design will be are you sized using the on line app. It can cover part of tag or ornament or all of it. What ever part is not covered by your design will be white.
How do I set a background color on my design other uploading a image?
You can add the square shape, make sure its selected then apply a background color and use the handle bars to have it cover the whole area of your product. You can then add text or what ever you want on top of the “background” color.
How to center text on my product?
Make sure the text is selected , you will see handle bars around the text, then on the left scroll down to the bottom of the text area and select the center alignment icon. The text will be centered in the text box and you can move the text box anywhere you want.
Can I personalize my tag or ornament using my phone or tablet?
The app will work on a phone or tablet, but using a desktop for design is the best method. We are working on improving the app..
Why is the text not changing color when a new color is selected?
Be sure the text or any object you want to edit is selected. You will see “handle bars” on the object when it is selected. If no object is selected the app will not make any changes.
